Fiocchi shot shells and ammo

I mainly shoot steel but in a few of my guns that are not steel safe I use the Golden Pheasant loads for upland. They have performed well and pattern very nicely out of these guns.

For waterfowl I use them almost exclusively when using steel. Prices are great, patterns are very good as well out of my setup. But like any steel load, what works for me does not work for others.

I have not used any of the centerfire ammo, so no input on that!!!!!

I used Foicchi in the blue box for two years and they performed well, and cheaper than the golden pheasant. Last year we switched to Estate in the same load for less money and they performed nicely also. This was lead shot for pheasants. 12 Gauge 23/4 inch 1 and1/4 oz shot 3 and 3/4 dram EQ muz vel 1330 FPS. A good pheasant load in my opinion, doesnt tear them inhalf at closer ranges but also reaches out there on long shots.

Their shotshells are 2nd to none.  Given the quality of their shotgun ammo, I'd not fret giving the rifle/pistol ammo a whirl.

Have shot the .40 S&W 165 grain FMJ @ the range on both paper and steel.  Seemed accurate, functioned flawlessly in my Springfield XD and had LOTS of power.  Probably the hottest loads I've tried (subjectively; not chronographed).

Have used the Golden Pheasant loads for upland. Were very good but i dont know if they were that much better than Federal. Thats what i normally use for my shotgun and rifle loads.
