I love to hunt and fish! Gardening and traveling are also pastimes I enjoy. I just recently began to learn the art of smoking foods and have found that to be another enjoyable hobby that works well with my cooking. Africa will be the next destination on the list and August 18, 2009 is the date the journey begins. I will try and film most of the hunt and edit it when I get home to create part 2 in my home DVD collection of hunts.

Ice fishing is definately my biggest passion and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the thrill or the invigorating chill, or maybe it's a combination of both. I've already donated one pickup to the sport so it's really surprising that I go back for more. I would have to say that Darling is my favorite ice fishing lake.

A few years ago I started my quest for a Muskie (musky) and have yet to hook into one. I mostly fish the GDU canal system for these elusive predators and have had a few follows but no successful strikes. Definately getting close to that 1000 casts. I keep telling myself that next trip will be the lucky one! Maybe, with any luck I'll catch that 47 pounder to set the state record!!! Ha, wouldn't that be something!
