Hey sportsman, look what I found digging around last night!!!

Thought I'd share with everyone.  I haven't read it yet myself as I found it late last night.  Thought I'd post this morning so everyone could read.  I'm looking forward to it myself since I had no idea how to dig through and find out just WHAT happened.

Here it is:

Okay, so I went and looked when this was posted because when I started reading it, it was obvious it has a past tense to it.

Reading what they wrote, you gotta admit Sportsman, they got pretty darn close to what happened in January.  I wish I could find the information from November through December.  That's the stuff I have been defending.  And like I said in other posts I couldn't find any concrete El Nino stuff forecast from December to the rest of the year.  This is finally it!  I'm mad at myself I didn't find it sooner but I think it was due to the fact they didn't have the "Archived News Stories" link always active.  I don't know, don't make sense since I am sure I bring 50 to 100 clicks to the NWS on any given day.  They snuck one by me!

Here's the archived news list so you can see the date it was posted.

In a nutshell, the pattern we felt in November and part of December ended up retreating back further to the west and north.  Reasons are explained in the link I posted in my first post.  It sounds like based off their historical records (8 years I think) they are feeling a normal to slightly above normal precip outlook is expected for us this spring.  It also mentioned a cooler type spring.  That to me, sounds something of concern because all it takes is a few very warm days strung together and the melt is well underway.

Friday is the new report so until then.  We'll have to wait...
